Icon - Olivia Palermo

Olivia Palermo is a New York fashion muse with finesse and style that makes us want to take her lead. She has many titles to her name; style blogger, entrepreneur, model and actress. Among other things, she has designed a limited edition tote bag for Aspinal (all proceeds of which went to charity) and she is currently guest creative director for Ciate nail brand for 2015.

She came to our attention as a cast member of the American reality show The City, which is based within the fashion industry (she worked in the PR department of Diane Von Furstenberg). Whether you know her as an actress, model or blogger, we all know her as permanent fixture at Fashion Week, which is where we have come to love and respect her as a style icon.

Her style is flirty and girly but she can wear almost anything and it will look good on her. It helps of course that she is a beautiful girl with flawless skin and a gorgeous smile. She does long floaty dresses, mini skirts, androgynous looks and yet a pair of jeans and a jumper looks fabulous on her, her street style being as impressive as when she is attending events. She never overdoes it on accessories, a designer handbag being a must! Her signature look is her red nails which she almost always wears. Olivia Palermo, the best dressed New Yorker, whatever she is wearing, is always polished and permanently glowing.

She puts things together that you would never think of doing but it works! She could certainly teach us a thing or two about style. For example, she'll put a long pleated skirt with a thick polo neck knit and look divine. Which brings us to her unique wedding gown, which had her style written all over it. Olivia wore a full tulle skirt (with a bit of leg on show at the front) and a fine cashmere jumper, by Carolina Herrera, finished off with a pair of 'blue' Manolo Blahniks. Ever much the stunning bride! She kept her hair and makeup simple.

She has it all, even down to the equally handsome husband on her arm!
