Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Eyeshadow Stick
The Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Eyeshadow Stick is one our hero products. Stick eyeshadow, lipstick, blush are very popular because of their ease of use and their portable convenience, as they can be applied directly and blended with your fingertips. There are many to choose from, from drug store brands to high end brands. But our favourite by far is the Bobbi Brown one. We are quite biased when it comes to Bobbi Brown eyeshadow because we have never been disappointed with any that we have tried. Their colour range is superb and the product itself is high quality. If you're after a specific colour of eyeshadow, you will find it at Bobbi Brown.
These eyeshadow sticks from Bobbi Brown are very easily blended. We have tried a few others, one of my favourite eyeshadow shades of all time is a cream stick by Charlotte Tilbury (mesmerising mink) but with her eyeshadow stick, you have to work very fast as it sets on the lid quite quickly, so there isn't much room for mistakes. The Bobbi Brown one gives you more time to blend it out and is a softer formula. It's also very fool proof, simply swipe it across your lids and use your fingertips to blend it out. I personally prefer to use a brush (I use my Mac 217). I like to apply one coat, blend it out right up to my brow bone and then apply a second coat onto just the lid and blend it out to give a smokey look. These are very handy to take with you and reapply during the day, especially as you don't have to carry a brush (I will use my finger on these occasions).
The colour I am currently loving is Heather Steele, a gorgeous grey purple. If you look at this shade on its own, it definitely looks like a brown, but when compared to Bark, which is a rich brown, you can see the difference. The grey and the purple (which is very subtle) come through. This is exactly the colour I was looking for. It's such a rich colour, that looks fabulous with a light wash across the lid or build it up with a few layers to create an intense smokey eye.
These are a long lasting formulation so you get about eight hours before they start to wear off and they will not budge on your lid once applied, so no smudging in the creases. Due to the softness of these eyeshadow sticks, they are totally tug free when applying them to your lid, so no irritation. I honestly don't think I have anything negative to say about them. They are not on the cheap side at £21/$29 but if you want longevity and a great colour range, then there are some compromises to be made. If this is within your budget however, and you haven't tried them yet, put one on your Christmas list!
