Byredo Hand Cream
Is anyone else going through copious amounts of hand cream at the moment?! I find at this time of year, I slather it on continuously. And I have one in every corner of the house/office/handbags. I actually love hand cream and a couple of years ago became a bit obsessed with it, so I am always on the look out for new finds. I have my favourites, from cheaper ones that I use sparingly to more expensive luxury ones that I like to apply when out and about. Ones that smell gorgeous and every time you move your hands about you can smell the aroma.
Unlike certain products, I am not particularly loyal when it comes to hand cream. A bit like body lotions, I like to try new things. So the new favourite addition to my hand cream collection is Byredo Bal D'Afrique. Firstly, the scent of this hand cream, with it's subtle uplifting fruitiness and sweetness, is absolutely gorgeous, to the point that I look like a freak constantly smelling my hands. For those of you who know your fragrances and notes, please see below:
Top notes: Bergamot, Lemon, Neroli, African marigold, Bucchu
Mid notes: Violet, Jasmine petals, Cyclamen
Base notes: Black amber, Musk, Vetiver, Moroccan cedarwood
This warm and romantic aroma is inspired by Paris in the late '20's and it's infatuation with African culture, art, music and dance.
It's a non-greasy hand cream that, although has a thick texture, absorbs quickly to allow you to get on with your business. It is very nourishing and leaves your hands so soft and hydrated, even hours later, preventing them from drying out after you wash them. The scent settles into your skin but doesn't fade so has great payoff.
This one definitely sits in the 'luxury' end of my hand cream collection. With a smell so divine and a hand cream that is very good at its job, this one may well hang around for a bit.
This brand also has a body lotion in the same fragrance, which I have my eye on!
The hand cream cost £23 for a 30ml tube.
