Dr Sebagh Serum Repair
Hyaluronic Acid is an ingredient that we should all be looking out for in our skincare products, particularly at this time of year when our skin is dehydrated from both the weather and central heating. This ingredient is responsible for helping your skin to retain moisture so it doesn't end up looking looking dried out, dull and grey. Hyaluronic acid holds more than a thousand times its own weight in water. Most people will become dehydrated in winter, regardless of your skin type (dehydration is a skin condition, not a skin type).
Serums are the most potent of all products that you can put on your face. This is the product that will tackle all your problem areas. So this is the best way to get the highest concentrate of hyaluronic acid onto your skin. Other products containing it, like moisturiser and oils will help and is never a bad thing but it's the serum where you will notice the biggest difference. Hyaluronic acid will plump up your skin and fill out fine lines, especially those crepe like lines on your cheeks.
I like to try out different products containing hyaluronic acid, some I've liked and some I haven't. The one I'm using at the moment is Dr Sebagh Serum Repair, which I'm really impressed with. When it comes to shopping for this ingredient, I always hear Sali Hughes in my head saying that it should be listed within the first 7 ingredients, so this is a must for me. It appears 4th on the list of Dr Sebagh Serum Repair.
When you first apply this serum, it instantly creates a sort of film across your skin, you can immediately see the glow and your skin feels incredibly soft to touch. The weird thing I found was that it also created an instant tightness which seemed quite ironic as this is the feeling you are trying to prevent from happening, although it is more of a firming tightness, like a collagen boost. The serum settles into your skin and once you apply your moisturiser on top, it creates a fantastic base for your makeup. The immediate effects of this serum are instantly visible, giving you an amazing fresher youthful glow and plump, smooth, even toned skin. The moisture levels in your skin remain topped up throughout the day and you don't get that tight dehydrated feeling despite the heating system blasting in your face.
It's £69 for 20ml, so not exactly cheap but well worth it.
