Health Tip: Water & Lemon

One of the best things you can do for your health is to start the day off with a glass of room temperature water and lemon.

If you want to take small steps in improving your overall health and wellbeing, this is a great place to start, as it has so many health benefits and it doesn't take time or planning.

On an empty stomach, first thing when you get up, squeeze 1/4 of a fresh lemon into a glass of water (it's easier to take at room temperature).

This is a great detoxifying start to the day which kick starts the body and the numerous health benefits include aiding digestion, reducing bloating, helps constipation, helps eliminate toxins, promotes good liver function, natural remedy for heartburn and improves the overall condition of the skin.

This is a great healthy tip for you to start the new year, however, it is also a great solution to the effects of over indulging on food and drink at Christmas. So when you are enjoying yourself over the next couple of weeks, as you should do at this time of year, and the heartburn, indigestion and general tummy upsets kick in, remember to take a glass of water with 1/4 to 1/2 squeezed lemon. It will help to neutralise the acid in your stomach.
