Lancome Advanced Genifique Serum
Lancome's No.1 serum isn't called No.1 for no reason. This is a serum that promises younger looking skin by targeting texture, resiliency, elasticity, firmness, sagginess, fine lines, wrinkles, radiance, even skin tone, clarity. In other words, it's a serum that doesn't make you choose a specific problem to tackle. If you have one, two or five of these concerns, this serum will target all of them. Many serums are aimed towards a specific need, which is great if this is your only area of concern. But in reality, we usually have several problem areas and the last thing we want is to use several products.
It has a light weight texture and one full pump dispenses the exact amount of serum that you need for your face and neck, so you don't need to worry about carefully squeezing out the correct amount of drops. It glides across your face and neck effortlessly and absorbs immediately, ready for your moisturiser. This serum does what it says, which for me was reduce the appearance of fine lines, improve texture, elasticity, radiance, even skin tone and clarity. It is a genius product and if I don't use it, my skin cries out!
Prior to using Advanced Genifique Serum, I used Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair (ANR) in the evening and Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum in the morning (for my dehydration). I had absolutely no issues with these 2 products at all. ANR is a highly rated serum and justifiably so, I used it for years and it was the first thing that targeted all my problems areas. Like Advanced Genifique, it targets many problems areas. As it's a night serum, I used Vichy in the morning, which is a brilliant serum for dehydration sufferers. The only reason I changed to Lancome is because I have started using many Lancome skincare products and have got on so well with them, I wanted to try this well renowned serum. Needless to say, I love it. It does all the things that ANR does but just pipped it to top position because my skin looked more radiant, clarified and even toned, not significantly so but enough to make the change considering it is a similar price and it does everything else that ANR does. And because it can be used morning and night, I can get rid of the need to have a separate serum in the morning. I'm sure there is no rule against using ANR in the morning but when it says 'night' serum...well...you just get it into your head that something really weird will happen if you use it in the morning! Nonsense, I know!
Lancome Advanced Genifique Serum comes as a highly recommended product from Laundry. It cost £59/$78 for 30ml.
