Friday Music Pick - Glen Campbell

With tributes pouring in for the legendary Glen Campbell, this weeks music pick couldn't be anything else. One of the greats of our time, the American singer sadly passed away on Tuesday at the age of 81, following a battle with Alzheimer’s.

Campbell rose to fame in the 1960s and 70s. He embarked on what was supposed to be a five week farewell tour in late 2011, which turned into a 15 month tour with his last performance in Napa, California on 30 Nov 2012. His final studio album 'Adios' was released in June of this year, featuring guest appearances by Willie Nelson, Vince Gill and three of Campbell's daughters. He sold an estimated 45 million records during his career.

Glen Campbell was much loved in the show business world, not just because of his music but for his easy going manner and good looks.

We've been listening to many of his tracks in the office in a bid to pick a favourite for this weeks music pick. Many of his tracks are very easy listening but when it comes to Rhinestone Cowboy, we want to sing. It's not easy to listen to this track and not want to sing along. So that's what we have been doing. Join us in passing on our condolences to the family and friends of the legendary singer Glen Campbell and sing along to Rhinestone Cowboy. RIP.
