Versace Spring Summer 2018 Show

Donatella Versace's Spring Summer 2018 show was an emotional tribute to her brother Gianni, to mark the twentieth anniversary of his death. To mark the occasion, Donatella invited five of the original supermodels to take part in the show; Carla Bruni, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford and Helena Christensen. The models wore gold dresses and accompanied Donatella as she walked to catwalk at the end of the show, while their personal anthem George Michael's Freedom played.

“I finally found the courage to really go to the archives and pay tribute to Gianni,” Donatella explained in a small gathering before the show. Her brothers original prints featured in many of the outfits, drawing on collections from 1991 - 1995, a time when people from the arts and beyond came together, but making the collection more comfortable and up to date, 'a little more street'.

While clearly a very emotional tribute show, Donatella kept it upbeat and enjoyable. Watch the stunning show below, which also included models Gigi and Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner and Kaia Gerber (Cindy Crawford's daughter):
