Health Tips: The Benefits Of Exercise!
The health benefits of exercise is so much more than just losing weight. Most people will work out because they want to shed a few pounds, especially post-Christmas, but even those who don't need to do this will be so much healthier as a result. Being slim isn't always a sign of being healthy!
Exercise releases endorphins that make us feel better. This is a fact! As soon as we feel better, we will automatically want to keep this going. And so we enter the feel good circle; we exercise, we feel good about ourselves, we therefore look our best. As a result, we live a healthy, happy life. This release of endorphins will also help you stretch out muscle aches and pains.
Hydration is crucial when it comes to exercise. Make sure you drink plenty of water before and after workout routines. A 30 minute exercise routine will make you want and need to drink more water, which in turn keeps you away from the fizzy drinks and snacking.
It's really important to fit exercise into your life accordingly. If it feels like a chore, it won't work for you. One other thing to remember is that exercise isn't about burning yourself out, it's about moderate activity to get your heart rate up and your body in shape. The best way to incorporate exercise into your daily life is to make it part of your routine. So, if you do it in the morning, get up and get straight into your work out gear and while you are drinking your first glass of water in preparation, get your clothes ready for that day, prepare breakfast, then go straight into your 20/30 minutes work out. Then jump in the shower, get dressed, makeup on, eat breakfast (in whichever order that may be). It becomes part of your daily routine. If you do it in the evening, change into your work out gear when you come in from work so you will feel ready for it.
Exercise gives us energy and improves our posture so we will feel less lethargic and coupled with the water and the non-snacking, we won't get that 3pm dip. Feeling lazy makes us more and more lazy, it's a knock on effect. We all have chores to do in the evening, some of them boring, so we will find any excuse to put them off, particularly if it means peeling ourselves off the sofa. Get your work out in before you head for the sofa and it will give you the energy to do the others jobs and then when it comes to chilling out, you will feel so much better for it. And for another advantage, you will sleep better that night.
If you are feeling a bit out of sorts, either feeling down or agitated, or even just tired, a quick 30 minute exercise routine will help you get back in good form. Or better still for times like this, a 20-30 minute walk to clear your head will do it. You will feel emotionally stronger and happier.
