Golden Globes 2018

The annual awards season got off to a start last night with the Golden Globes. With so many fantastic TV shows being made at the moment, the Golden Globes has become even more prevalent than ever, particularly with many Hollywood stars taking the lead roles. In fact, yesterday I was having a quiet Sunday and I was checking out the nominees for this years awards and came across 'This Is Us', which I had heard about but not watched. So I tuned in for the first episode, was hooked within five minutes and binged on the first four episodes! The only problem is there are so many great shows that you can't watched them all so you have to choose wisely (if you also want to have a life in the real world!). Check out the nominees and winners below for a great place to start.

As we were all expecting, and to give it the forefront it deserves, the Golden Globes 2018 was dominated with the sexual harassment scandal that has rocked Hollywood. This was the first awards ceremony since the scandal broke. The stars stood together, all wearing black as a mark of solidarity, with heartfelt speeches for a unity and promise to bring about changes for women within the industry and around the world. Presenter of the awards Seth Meyers kick started these speeches in his opening monologue, by welcoming 'ladies and remaining gentlemen'. Many stars referenced the scandal and the need for change while accepting their awards, while others voiced their opinion on the red carpet......
