Skin Laundry Purifying Cream Cleanser
If you have dry or dehydrated skin, then you will love Skin Laundry Purifying Cream Cleanser. It is extremely nourishing, to the point that when you are massaging it in you don't want to take it off because it feels like it is doing wonders for your skin, it feels like it is doing more than what a cleanser is supposed to do. However, once you do manage to take it off, your skin is left feeling so nourished it's like you're half way to hydration already.
The consistency is a thick cream. It's best to apply it to damp skin. The very first time I used it I wasn't convinced because I applied it to dry skin and the product just absorbed into my skin (I have dehydrated skin and it just seemed to drink it) so I wasn't able to massage it in properly and it also didn't help that I got it in my mouth (no idea how, I didn't mean to eat it). So, after I decided to read the instructions on how to actually apply it, I applied it to dampened skin as suggested and spent ages massaging it in and I could almost feel it lift away the impurities.
It is very good at removing makeup but I personally like to use it in the morning as I tend to wake up needing hydration right away and so I want a cleanser that will in no way make my skin feel tight or dry. In fact I like that it provides light hydration before I have even applied my serum and moisturiser. The Skin Laundry Purifying Cream Cleanser is also good for sensitive skin types as it is a sulphate-free cleanser and so causes no irritation. It contains aloe barbadensis leaf juice, meadowfoam seed oil, panthenol and macadamia nut oil, so you can see where it gets its hydrating properties from.
Yen Reis, founder of Skin Laundry, doesn't believe that she is re-inventing the wheel with her skin treatments and skincare products. The Skin Laundry product line is very much based around cleansers as it's founder believes that beautiful skin stems from clean skin. Their products focus on achieving healthy, glowing skin, and the brand certainly lives up to its name by refreshing and rejuvinating skin.
While living in Asia, Yen Reis was using a safe and accessible laser and light therapy treatment that was helping her tackle her skin issues and improving her skin health. When she moved to LA, she couldn't find a similar treatment that was affordable and convenient and so following regression of her skin issues, she met with medical professionals and laser experts to create her own brand. And so Skin Laundry was born. The flagship store opened in 2013.
Available from Liberty London, Skin Laundry Purifying Cream Cleanser costs £20.
