Gucci Autumn Winter '18 Show
Gucci isn't exactly a brand that is subtle and quiet. On the contrary, this is the brand you go to if you want to stand out in a crowd. Admittedly, there are a few more subtle pieces but it's not what they are known for. If you want a statement piece, then Gucci is for you.
So, when it comes to their catwalk shows, you would expect something a little different, wouldn't you? Well, this is exactly what we got at Milan this week for the presentation of their Autumn/Winter '18 collection. Models walked the runway carrying their owns heads, we kid you not! It's quite surreal, a little creepy but it got people talking about it and even recreating it all over social media. So I guess their mission was accomplished. If you want to make people sit up and take notice, then this is how to do it.
Others carried snakes and dragons or wore third eyes or horns. Quite the freak show really. Set in the background of an eerie operating theatre, Alessandro Michele gave us a show to remember.
