Vivienne Westwood Anglomania x VANS
Vivienne Westwood has launched two limited edition pairs of Anglomania Vans for Spring-Summer 2018, available exclusively in Japan, combining the iconic Vans Sk8-Hi shoe with Westwood’s Piccadilly Circus print.
1978 was the year Vans created these Sk8-Hi's, introducing the side stripe. Around this time, Vivienne Westwood was at the forefront of the punk movement in London, selling one-off pieces in her King's Road store, then called Seditionaires. She was using fashion as a platform for her political activism and in the store she had a blown-up image of London's Piccadilly Circus, turned upside down, as a symbol of her rebellion against tradition.
This collaboration sees the two brands come together to create two iconic pairs of Sk8-Hi's with elements of creativity from both designers.
