A new documentary about Liam Gallagher, that will be shown at the Cannes Film Festival, will look at the singers life and music career, from his time as the Oasis frontman through to his life as a solo artist.

Directed by Charlie Lightening, who has worked with Liam previously, and produced by Steven Lappin, this is a story to tell. Living life as a superstar in the height of the nineties with champagne and a rock star life, to all the well known feuds with his Oasis brother Noel and many a legal battle. Whilst we may think we know a lot of went on, I'm confident that this documentary will inform us of much of the 'behind the scenes' life of Liam Gallagher.

As described by The Hollywood Reporter, 'As It Was', "tells the emotional story of how one of the greatest rock frontmen went from the dizzying heights of his champagne supernova years in Oasis to living on the edge, ostracized and lost in the musical wilderness of boredom, booze and legal battles. The film depicts Liam emerging from Noel's shadow, managing expectations from being in the biggest band in the world to starting again alone, stripped bare, with nowhere to hide."

Liam Gallagher is heading to North America this month for a brief tour before returning to London to support The Rolling Stones at London Stadium on 22 May.
