Bioderma Atoderm Lip Balm

Bioderma to me has always meant micellar water, so when I think of this brand, or see it or hear it talked about, I think of one of the best and first micellar waters I ever used. Until I came across this lip balm and realised that this brand is more than what I know it for. The Bioderma Atoderm Lip Balm for the lips is a really great little product.

I am one of those people that like to have a selection of lip balms, one for my handbag, one on my work desk and one by my bedside table. I have also become somewhat a bit of a nerd when it comes to lip balms, so I love trying new ones and I also have a few trusted ones that I always re-purchase. Some I use every morning just to soften my lips before I apply lipstick and others I have for when my lips are in a bit of a state and need specific attention.

The Bioderma lip balm falls somewhere in between these two categories. It is perfect for applying in the morning to nourish your lips and throughout the day if they need topping up with moisture. But it is also better than this and has been known to tackle my sore red lips when the weather (hot or cold) has played havoc with them. However, if my lips are at their worst (i.e. in the height of winter when going from bitter cold outside to central heating indoors), then I need to go in with something more hardcore (like Clinique Superbalm Lip Treatment).

It’s so much better than its price point of £5, is very nourishing due to its active ingredient shea butter and does an absolutely amazing job of repairing weakened lips. Many lips balms have to be reapplied quite often but this one maintains a well nourished lip for many hours. It is slightly fragranced with a mild strawberry scent which is very pleasant and not overpowering, which many can be. If this is your budget for lip balm or can’t justify spending a lot of money on lip balm, then look no further than Bioderma Atoderm Lip Balm. It’s available at boots.com and feelunique.com.
