Friday Music Pick - Suede

Suede has just released their new album The Blue Hour, the eighth album for the band, who have moved away from their Britpop years into a new territory. Although the very unique and amazing voice of Brett Anderson is still chillingly good and romantic.

The Blue Hour is the final of Suede’s trio of comeback albums, which started with ‘Bloodsports’ in 2013 and followed with ‘Night Thoughts’ in 2016.

Lead singer Brett Anderson recently told NME;

“It’s quite dank and troubling. A lot of this is about the terrors of childhood, so it’s quite unpleasant in lots of ways. I think Suede should be unpleasant, that’s the point of a band like Suede. Whenever we’ve tried to be pleasant, it never works.”

Despite the somewhat depressing nature of the tracks, they still manage to be uplifting.
