Virgil Abloh Collaboration With Nike And Serena Williams

We were wondering when Virgil Abloh's creations would make it onto the tennis court. And now we have it as Serena Williams, the tennis champion, will sport his design at the US Open tournament, which starts at the end of this month.

The collection will include a dress, a bag, a jacket and three trainers, most of which will be available to buy at Nike at the end of this month. Abloh's inspiration for the line of course came from Williams and while keeping his design feminine he wanted to incorporate some of that well known aggression and powerfulness behind the tennis player.

With Serena, we have one of our generation’s most powerful, inspiring athletes as the muse. I was trying to embody her spirit and bring something compelling and fresh to tennis.

There is no better brand than Off-White, known for its luxury streetwear, to bring such a collaboration to fruition. The brand has grown significantly since it's launch in 2012 and Virgil Abloh has, as a result, become one of the hottest topics of conversation in the fashion world, a man who is highly in demand and everyone wants a piece of him. Once Virgil Abloh's name is put to anything, it sells hot of the shelves. His creative outlook is new, young and fresh.

Serena Williams is one of those players who likes to add a little fun to her 'on court' wardrobe. She's certainly not all about the white, so when not at Wimbledon, she can do what she wants. And of course, she is no novice when it comes to fashion, having launched her own brand a few months ago.
