Liberty London Launches The Building Bag
Liberty London’s design studio has done an amazing job with this bag - how can something so simple look so fabulous?! Perhaps because they have based the design on the façade of the iconic Tudor style Liberty building. It’s subtle but when you know it, you can actually see it. This is genius!
Boasting clean geometric lines and a simple rectangular shape, the tote’s simple design is markedly different from Liberty London’s colourful core collection, and features a muted black and taupe colourway, and graphic branding. The cotton and polyester yarn mix gives a contemporary yet durable texture, making it the perfect every-day bag.
And so you know a little bit of history on the building that your new tote bag is inspired by, the Liberty building was created in 1924 from the timbers of two ancient three-decker battle ships. More than 24,000 cubic feet of ships timbers were used from The HMS Impregnable and the HMS Hindustan, which measured the length and height of the Liberty building. Interesting!
