Samuel Ross of A-COLD-WALL* Wins BFC/GQ Menswear Fund 2019
Samuel Ross of A-COLD-WALL*, one of our favourite designers here at Laundry, has won this years British Fashion Council/GQ Menswear Fund, an award that has seen many young fashion designers go on to achieve big things. Previous winners has included Christopher Shannon, Patrick Grant and Craig Green.
Samuel will receive £150,000 for this achievement, along with 12 months mentoring which will prove invaluable to an already aspiring and talented fashion designer.
BFC Menswear Chair Dylan Jones of GQ, BFC CEO Caroline Rush and Artistic Director of Dior Men’s Kim Jones hosted a cocktail reception at Annabels Mayfair to announce the 2019 BFC/GQ Designer Menswear Fund.
One of the newest pillars of London’s streetwear scene, Samuel Ross’ A-COLD-WALL* is a brand at the heart of streetwear. Founded in 2015, the brand merges the differing class system within Britain, for example working class garments with tailoring. Considering Samuel Ross is the ex-assistant and now the consultant of Virgil Abloh, Off-White founder, it comes as no surprise that this streetwear designer has created a brand that stands out from the rest.
Congratulations Samuel Ross!
